Donald Parfet - President & Interim CEO

Mr. Parfet will oversee the governance of the Company. He is a founding partner and Managing Director of the Apjohn Group, LLC. Prior to founding the Apjohn Group, he was a Senior Vice President at Pharmacia where his responsibilities included all of the Associated Businesses (Animal Health, Diagnostics, Pharmaceutical Commercial Services and Plasma Products). Additionally, he oversaw that company’s investments in Amersham Pharmacia Biotech and Biacore International AB. He also had overall Site Management responsibilities for that company’s operations in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Mr. Parfet received his BA degree in economics from the University of Arizona in 1975 and his M.B.A. degree in finance from the University of Michigan in 1977. He is a trustee of the W.E. Upjohn Institute for Employment Research, trustee and the past Chairman of the Board of Bronson Healthcare Group, Chair of the Board of the Kalamazoo College Board of Trustees and continues as a board member of Biacore International AB. Mr. Parfet is also a board member of MPI Research in Mattawan, Michigan and Southwest Michigan First of Kalamazoo, Michigan.

Ronald Shebuski, Ph.D – Chief Scientific Officer

Ron has over 20 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry and served as the Director of Cardiovascular Therapeutics at Pharmacia & Upjohn from 1990-1998. Most recently, he served as the VP of Pre-Clinical Research for Afmedica, Inc, a Kalamazoo, MI-based biotech start-up that developed a drug-eluting (sirolimus) polymer product which was placed around surgical graft sites to prevent hemodialysis access and peripheral vascular graft failure. Afmedica was acquired by Angiotech Pharmaceuticals in late 2005.  Ron is an Adjunct Associate Professor of Pharmacology and Full Professor of Integrative Biology & Physiology at the University of Minnesota Medical School. He received his B.S. Degree in Microbiology from the University of Wisconsin in Madison (1976) and Ph.D. Degree in Pharmacology from the University of Minnesota Medical School in Minneapolis (1985).   Contact Ron at :  ron@aursos.com

Daniel Fisher, R.Ph. – Chief Business Officer

Dan has worked successfully in both the pharmaceutical and medical device industries for large and small corporations for over 24 years. He began his career at Eli Lilly and Company in sales before holding positions of increased responsibility in marketing and managed care. Dan joined Diversified Pharmaceutical Services (a pharmacy benefit manager) as Senior Director of a new product development division focusing on formulary and patient compliance. Dan also led the business development and reimbursement areas for Equidyne, Inc and Upsher-Smith Laboratories before founding Strategic Pharmaceutical Solutions, Inc., which specializes in assisting small companies maximize their value.  Dan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from Drake University.  Contact Dan at:  dan@aursos.com

Terry Lewis – Chief Financial Officer

Terry has 30 years financial experience in the pharmaceutical industry.  Most recently, he served as Finance Manger, Michigan Research Services for Pfizer, Inc. Prior to Pfizer, he held financial director and manager roles at Pharmacia, Inc. in information technology, royalty and licensing, facilities, cost accounting and corporate systems organizations.   Terry has a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting degree from Western Michigan University.  Contact Terry at:  terry@aursos.com

Donald Zinn – V.P. Business Development 

Don has co-founded several successful companies in the life sciences industry and has served as CEO, COO and VPBD. While in academia, Don had leadership roles at Georgetown’s HIV Research Facility (RIGHT), UMBC and the Uniformed Services University. Mr. Zinn’s most recent success came as co-founder and operations for Artesian Therapeutics, an Oxford Biosciences company, which exited in late 2005 in a deal worth $62 MM on a total investment of $5MM. Don is currently an Executive in Residence for the Apjohn Group and an Adjunct Professor at Grand Valley State University in the Department of Biological Sciences.  Contact Don Zinn at:  don@aursos.com
